Data Scientists (A1/A0) needed at DGIE (Rwanda Directorate General of Immigration and Emigration) Kigali, Rwanda Deadline: 10-11-2026

To collect, clean, analyze, and interpret large or complex datasets to identify patterns, trends, and insights;
Use of statistics, programming, and machine-learning techniques to build models and support data-driven decision-making; and
To do any other task related to the job as may be required by the supervisors.

Academic qualifications: Advanced diploma, bachelors’ degree or Masters’ degree in relevant fields

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems Statistics, Mathematics, or related field;
Strong skills in Python, R, SQL, SQL and experience with relational databases;
Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau);
Experience in using modern operational and management technologies, data analysis and reporting tools;
Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is an advantage;
Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL/ELT processes;
Solid understanding of statistics and machine learning techniques;
Experience with data cleaning and preprocessing;
Strong analytical thinking and communication skills; and
Relevant certifications in data analytics or data engineering are an added advantage.
