What is This Training About?
Unlike their traditional coding bootcamps, this unique program focuses on the core operational roles required to run a digital business. You will pick one specialization and receive intensely practical, real-world coaching.

Training Modalities & Compensation
Be prepared: this is a highly demanding growth journey designed to push you to the limits of your abilities.

Duration & Commitment: 6 months, full-time. Expect an average of 10 net training hours per day. You cannot pursue other studies or work concurrently.

Location: On-site at The Gym’s training facility in Nyarutarama.

Trainee Stipend: Participants receive 200,000 RWF net/month for the first three months, increasing to 300,000 RWF net/month from the fourth month onwards.

Starting Salary: Graduates who pass all monthly assessments and are hired by The Gym will receive a starting salary of 500,000 RWF net.

Perks: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are provided at the facility. Laptops will be provided for those who do not have their own.

Assessments: Participants must pass monthly interim assessments (“Gates”) to continue the training.
Training Content (The “AI-First” Approach)
All participants will undergo extensive professional skills development (public speaking, agile methodologies, task management). Crucially, this is an “AI first” training. You will go far beyond basic ChatGPT prompts—learning to configure GenAI tools, create workflows, and use AI agents to maximize your daily productivity.
1. Finance and Accounting

What you will learn: Financial and management accounting, taxation, budgeting, liquidity planning, and grant reporting for mid-sized companies.

Who should apply: Individuals with an absolute passion for precision and numbers. No prior finance background is required, but a strong interest is mandatory.
2. Operations and Project Management

What you will learn: Coordinating schedules, capacity planning, managing project dashboards, M&E data collection, and multi-stakeholder management.

Who should apply: Exceptional communicators with a deep passion for precision and organizational detail.
3. Social Media, Marketing, and Communication

What you will learn: Creating social media content (videos, photos, texts), writing newsletters, pitch presentations, and grant proposals.

Who should apply: You must love writing and have a natural eye for taking photos and videos optimized for social media.
4. Design

What you will learn: UX/UI design for web and mobile, presentation templates, flyers, and learning material illustrations.

Who should apply: Candidates with prior experience in UI/UX design (portfolio required), high familiarity with Figma, and the ability to create illustrations both by hand and via AI tools.
5. Product Owner

What you will learn: Developing digital product ideas, mapping user journeys, writing epics/user stories, and collaborating with tech and design teams.

Who should apply: Highly proactive, clear communicators, and creative problem solvers. No technical background is required, but a strong interest in technology is essential.
General Application Criteria

You must have completed your university studies. (Current students may apply only if they have zero classes left and can commit 100% of their time on-site).
