Apply Now: Ingazi Ambassadors Recruitment for youth – Cohort 2 Kigali, Rwanda Deadline: 15-05-2026
Are you passionate about driving change in your community and empowering your peers? The Ministry of Youth and Arts, in partnership with UNICEF and Generation Unlimited, is looking for 50 dynamic young leaders to join the Ingazi Youth Ambassadors Programme.
ABOUT THE INGAZI PROGRAMME
Many young Rwandans complete school only to find that the skills they have do not match what employers need, a mismatch that affects not only individual economic progression but also national human capital development aspirations. This gap puts young people at a serious disadvantage when trying to move from school to work or enter the labor market. They often lack access to relevant courses, have no clear idea of which sectors are hiring, and struggle to find trusted job or entrepreneurship opportunities. Without guidance, even the most motivated youth can remain stuck, unable to take the next step toward a sustainable future.
INGAZI was created to solve this problem. It is a government‑backed digital platform that brings together everything a young person needs in one place: first, skilling through free tutorials and certified courses in high‑demand sectors; second, career guidance that shows which industries are growing, what jobs exist within them, and how to build the right portfolio for the roles you aspire to; and third, direct access to jobs, internships, and grants for young entrepreneurs.
A platform alone cannot reach every young person, especially those in remote communities or with limited digital confidence. That is why INGAZI Ambassadors are essential. As an ambassador, you will help your peers register, complete courses, explore career paths, and apply for real opportunities – ensuring that no young person in your district is left behind.
WHY BECOME AN INGAZI AMBASSADOR?
This is a volunteer role that offers substantial professional development value for motivated, curious, and dedicated young people. As an ambassador, you will:
- Gain practical, career‑building skills that strengthen your CV and help overcome the common barrier of “no experience, no job” – including:
- Community mobilization and outreach (reaching vulnerable youth including PWDs, remote communities, and those with low literacy) Digital skills (navigating the INGAZI platform, using data dashboards, supporting peers with device or account issues)
- Career guidance basics (helping youth identify relevant courses, build CVs, and apply for jobs or internships)
- Content creation (producing short videos, success stories, and social media content for awareness)
- Monitoring and reporting (tracking registrations, course completions, and placements accurately)
- Position yourself as a competitive candidate for entry‑level roles within the INGAZI labour market ecosystem as well as for leadership positions (jobs, internships, or freelance opportunities).
- Have the opportunity to earn a goal‑based stipend of RWF 110,833 per month, provided you meet agreed monthly targets.
Most importantly, you will directly contribute to the INGAZI mission: ensuring that no young person is left behind. Every youth in your district – regardless of their background, disability, or access to devices – deserves equal access to skilling, career guidance, and labour market opportunities. Ambassadors are the human bridge that makes this possible.
- Are aged 18–30 years
- Reside in one of the five target districts: Nyagatare, Muhanga, Bugesera, Rusizi, or Gicumbi
- Hold at least an Advanced Level (Secondary) diploma or equivalent
- Have completed three “Artificial Intelligence (AI)” courses on the INGAZI learning platform and obtained the certificates
- Are fluent in Kinyarwanda and proficient in English
- Have a complete and verified profile on the INGAZI Career Hub (registered as a Job Seeker)
- Are available to serve a six-month term starting July 1st, 2026
- Previous experience in youth leadership, community mobilization, or grassroots engagement is an added advantage
WHAT IS EXPECTED OF YOU? (MONTHLY TARGETS)
- Register at least 167 young people on the INGAZI learning platform each month
- Support at least 25 course completions per month
- Facilitate at least one job or internship placement every two months
Ambassadors who consistently meet these targets will receive the full goal‑based stipend. One ambassador per district will also serve as a district coordinator, responsible for reporting and logistics coordination.
