Imagery Analysis Officers (A0) needed at DGIE (Rwanda Directorate General of Immigration and Emigration) Kigali, Rwanda Deadline: 10-11-2026

To analyze and interpret satellite, aerial, drone, or other imagery to identify objects, patterns, changes, and geographic features. They process imagery, extract relevant information, validate findings, and prepare analytical reports and visual products.
To do any other task related to the job as may be required by the supervisors.

Academic qualifications: Advanced diploma, bachelors’ degree or Masters’ degree in relevant fields

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Geographic Information System-GIS, Information Technology, Cartography or Geography;
The candidate should possess a strong foundation in geospatial technologies, including proficiency with GIS software, photogrammetry tools, and satellite imagery platforms like ArcGIS or ERDAS IMAGINE. Relevant certifications such as the Imagery Analyst Certification (IAC).
Proficiency in interpreting multispectral, hyperspectral, and Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) imagery is essential, alongside the ability to detect, identify, and report on man-made and natural features with high accuracy.
Experience with machine learning applications for automated feature extraction and a solid understanding of security protocols or defense standards are highly valued assets for this role.
Candidates must demonstrate exceptional analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to produce clear, concise reports under tight deadlines.
Strong communication skills are critical for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
