Back-End Developers (A0) needed at DGIE (Rwanda Directorate General of Immigration and Emigration) Kigali, Rwanda Deadline: 10-11-2026

To develop and maintain the server-side systems that power websites and applications. They work with databases, APIs, application logic, authentication, and system integrations, while ensuring performance, security, and reliability.
To do any other task related to the job as may be required by the supervisors.

Academic qualifications: Advanced diploma, bachelors’ degree or Masters’ degree in relevant fields

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field;
A strong proficiency in Node.js (Express/NestJs), and Java (Spring Boot);
Experience designing and maintaining RESTful APIs and microservices architectures;
Solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis); and
Knowledge of application security, data encryption, and OAuth2/JWT.
Experience with message queues (Kafka);
Familiarity with GraphQL, gRPC, or event-driven systems;
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines; and
Experience building scalable distributed systems and requirements traceability management
