Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Economic Analyst, you will anchor the analytical and proposal development pipelines for the firm. Core responsibilities include:

Research & Reporting: Conduct rigorous macroeconomic, sectoral, and policy research to develop policy briefs, economic assessments, and market intelligence reports.

Analytical Modeling: Prepare robust economic and financial models, execute feasibility studies, and deliver detailed impact assessments.

Business Development (Bid Writing): Take the lead in structuring Expressions of Interest (EOIs), technical proposals, and donor bids to win development advisory projects.

Thought Leadership: Produce high-quality sector reports, economic outlooks, and thought leadership publications that reinforce BDO’s market authority.

Client Engagement: Identify emerging funding priorities, support private/public sector advisory engagements, and actively participate in client presentations and stakeholder workshops.

Team Leadership: Mentor junior team members and drive internal knowledge management initiatives.
Required Qualifications & Experience
To qualify for this strategic consulting role, applicants must meet the following high-level academic and professional benchmarks:

Education: A Master’s degree in Economics, Development Economics, Public Policy, Statistics, Finance, or a closely related discipline.

Professional Experience: At least 4 years of relevant professional experience in economic analysis, development policy, public sector advisory, development finance, or economic consulting.

Industry Exposure: Demonstrated experience working within development consulting firms, international development organizations, government institutions, think tanks, or multilateral development banks.
Preferred Certifications (Added Advantage): > * Data Analytics: Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate (or equivalent).
Additional Qualifications: Any relevant professional certifications in finance, project management, or economics.
