About the Position – Associate
We are recruiting a full-time Associate who will be responsible for project delivery, business development, and managing our internal knowledge databases that drives our growth.
The major, hands-on project this Associate will work on is the SUNNY Project — our flagship €5.5M Horizon Europe project, delivered with 18 European and African institutions to demonstrate scalable renewable energy solutions for refugee and host communities across Rwanda and Uganda.
You will:
- Lead project delivery across Terra Energy’s projects — acting as the day-to-day owner on assigned projects, executing technical tasks and deliverables directly, coordinating with delivery partners and stakeholders, and ensuring quality and deadlines are met from input to final output.
- Support business development — monitoring funding platforms and tenders, drafting proposals, and following up on leads.
- Build and manage Terra Energy’s internal knowledge systems — turning project experience into templates, technical references, and a searchable internal library.
- Publish technical content — translating our project experience into articles for Terra Energy’s website and LinkedIn.
- Support senior strategic work — support the managing director in high-level investment and partnership conversations as you build trust and context.

- Is coachable — regardless of experience level, you’ll go through a rigorous, hands-on 6-months training program here.
- Is tech-savvy and AI-native — comfortable using Google Workspace and AI tools daily, or demonstrates fast learning.
